Inquiry into the environmental implications of the ‘sea change’ phenomenon

All Committees in the House of Representatives and joint committees of the Senate and House of Representatives for the 41st Parliament cease to exist upon dissolution of the House of Representatives at 12:00 noon, Wednesday 17th October 2007.

At the prorogation of the Parliament at 12:00 noon Monday 15th October 2007 all committee inquires lapsed. Therefore, this inquiry has now lapsed. More information about the dissolution of the 41st Parliament is available here.

In August 2007, the Minister for Environment and Water Resources, The Hon Malcolm Turnbull MP, referred to the Committee an inquiry into the Environmental Implications of the ‘Sea Change’ Phenomenon.

The Committee will initially develop an issues paper. It will call for submissions and conduct public hearings at a later date.
